The SE Como Improvement Association occasional undertakes neighborhood-wide planning activities, usually with the assistance of consultants and the City of Minneapolis. The board appoints temporary committees to direct these efforts, but retains the authority to accept the results.

Como Blueprint: Our Neighborhood Master plan

The Blueprint includes background and recommendations on Land use, transportation, housing, economic development, environment, parks & open space, heritage preservation, arts & culture, public safety, and institutions in our Como Neighborhood. It was approved by the City and incorporated into the City’s Comprehensive Plan in July 2016. The recommendations include many plans for implementation of neighborhood improvement.

The Housing Strategy: includes nine recommendations, with implementation plans, for stabilizing the Como residential community. Implementation work began in January 2016.
