Help With Neighborhood Outreach

We need volunteers to help reach more members of community and discover what people want to see in the neighborhood.
SECIA is looking for volunteers to help with a summer community outreach campaign in July and August. We plan to send a survey to every household in the neighborhood through door hangers and other printed and electronic materials. We also plan to talk with select households in person through a door-knocking campaign.

If you like talking to people and want to get to know your neighbors, then this a great opportunity for you! As a volunteer, you’ll receive outreach supplies to distribute and be part of a team going door-to-door leaving surveys & other materials.
If you’re interested in volunteering, sign up using this link and/or contact Laura and Alex for more information.

Volunteer Training
We’re providing training to all volunteers who want to help out. In this training, you’ll get to know the outreach team, learn how to engage with people, and learn canvassing safety tips. Training can be done in-person or online using the videos below. If you plan to do training online, a staff member will contact you to schedule your first outreach session. If you’re interested in attending an in-person training, please indicate your interest via the volunteer sign up form.
