Three neighborhoods have worked together on this plan. Their boards have voted to move forward in creating a merged organization, to be called East Bank Neighborhoods Partnership (this name can be changed later).  The three are the Marcy-Holmes Neighborhood Association, the Nicollet Island-East Bank Neighborhood Association, and SECIA.

Two more ‘neighborhoods’ are also included in the area of the merged group.  Neither has ever incorporated a neighborhood organization.  One of them, the University Neighborhood (fraternity row and nearby apartment buildings) is allotted City funding which will come to new organization. MHNA has been serving its residents for the past 2 years. The other neighborhood, Mid-City Industrial, lies north of East Hennepin and has very few residents (a condominium building on East Hennepin and the Cream of Wheat building on Stinson Blvd).  Mid-City Industrial is not allotted any City funding.  SECIA has been serving its residents in recent years.

Join us on Thursday evening for a short presentation about the merger, followed by the Q&A session.
