The SECIA board needs your voice! The greater diversity of people involved in the SECIA board, the more our neighborhood thrives and remains a wonderful place to live, work, learn, play and grow—for everyone: renters, homeowners, students, and elders.
Are you a Southeast Como student, renter, resident, property owner or worker? Interested in being part of a non-profit?
Are you looking to engage with your neighbors on projects to improve the neighborhood?
We need diverse perspectives. So, if you have at least an interest in any of these land use, transportation, infrastructure, gardening (or others) and want to be a part of something big, please consider running for the SECIA board.
What does board membership involve? We’re happy to have a chat with you and share what we know, contact Chris Lautenschlager, SECIA Executive Director, at [email protected].
If you’re interested, fill out our Candidate Form online.
Special Note: Mid-City Industrial Neighborhood Membership
Persons residing in legal residential units in the Mid-City Industrial area of Minneapolis are eligible to be members of SECIA, and are thus eligible to run for the SECIA board of directors. Membership rights shall continue until such time as the Mid-City Industrial area has its own neighborhood organization.
