Mark your calendars for this celebration of pollinators!
Saturday, July 24th | 12:30-3PM | at Van Cleve Park
We are celebrating the importance of creating native habitat for bees, butterflies, birds and other pollinators! Later this month, we will be hosting an afternoon of nature-filled fun at Van Cleve Park. We will have crafts, honey ice cream from Sebastian Joe’s, live music with the Fire Roast Mountain Boys, a butterfly photo-op, and more! Plus you can enter to win plant prizes or pollinator books. Most importantly, you’ll get to learn about pollinators and our neighborhoods very own pollinator habitats.
After all the buzz of the activities, we’ll have a Pollinator Parade around the park. Use crafts from the day as props, make some monarch wings, and wear your best pollinator apparel for a human-powered parade around the park.
This event is sponsored by the Good Neighbor Fund grant program at the University of Minnesota
Schedule for the day:
Crafts, live music, ice cream, games, and other activities: 12:30 – 2:30PM
Pollinator Parade: 2:30PM
Prizes at 2:50PM
