Over 1-in-10 households in Minnesota struggle with getting enough fresh and healthy food. The Como Cares team is tackling food insecurity in SE Como through a variety of initiatives.

Free Produce Distribution

Thursday, August 26th | 5-7PM | Van Cleve Park
Featuring a yoga class by Kelsey Potts from Up Yoga at 5:30PM

We’re partnering with East Side Neighborhood Services to bring free and fresh produce to those in need. A variety of in-season produce will be available, stay tuned for a list of available option. Anyone is eligible to come pick-up produce, no proof of need required. We encourage everyone to come take what they need and spread the word with neighbors who could benefit from this service.

Additional dates are planned for Thursday, August 26th and in September (TBD).

Grow To Give: Donate Your Extra Produce

Have you grown more produce in your garden than you know what to do with? Donate your extra produce to our food sharing program. Your donated produce will go directly to a neighbor in need or shared at our produce distribution event. This helps folks get the food they need and avoids wasting the produce you worked hard to grow.
